International Relations
International cooperation is one of the most important and most rapidly growing domains in TUT, involving active participation of the academic personnel, researchers as well as students in faculties/institutes as well as in the university as a whole. Historic relations with the Scandinavians have led to a twin city research programme between Helsinki-Tallinn and an education and research cooperation programme between the Baltic states, North-Western Russia and Nordic countries − Nordplus Neighbour - which is financed through the Nordic Council of Ministers.
TSEBA, TUT is successfully taking part in such international education programmes as and we want to continue the same in EU new initiatives such as Since 2006, TSEBA is a member of EFMD, one of the most renowned organisations uniting business schools and universities across the world. EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) is a global organisation devoted to the continuous improvement of management development. It brings together leading academics and senior executives from business schools and companies and provides them with unparalleled benchmarking and networking opportunities. EFMD has more than 600 member organisations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in more than 70 countries. Many of the world’s leading business schools and companies currently use the EFMD network to their advantage. The EFMD head office is in Brussels, Belgium. „ EFMD acts as a catalyst to promote and enhance excellence in management development in Europe and worldwide." In 2007, TSEBA joined the Central and East European Management Development Association ( CEEMAN). CEEMAN was established in 1993 with the aim of accelerating the growth in quality of management development in central and eastern Europe. With professional excellence as its aim, CEEMAN fosters the quality of management development and change processes through the development of educational, research, consulting, information, networking support, and other related services for management development institutions and corporations operating in the transition and dynamically changing environments. CEEMAN has 170 institutional and individual members from 42 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.
